What is an LMFT?
An LMFT is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. This specialization expands upon the traditional emphasis on the individual by also acknowledging the impact a client’s relationship networks can have on their health. LMFTs take a holistic approach to mental health, emphasizing the long-term well-being of individuals. LMFT's are trained in psychotherapy and systems theory. They are licensed to diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders within the context of individuals, couples, family, & group systems.
Can you prescribe medication?
We can not prescribe medication. However, we can provide referrals for Psychiatrists/Nurse Practitioners who can prescribe and handle medication management.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not currently accept insurance. Upon request, we can provide clients with a Superbill they can submit to insurance for potential reimbursement. What are you standard rates for therapy sessions and what is the standard length of a session?
Our standard rates are $200+ per session hour. A "session hour" is 50-55min. Therapists have the freedom to extend a session beyond one session hour based on schedule availability and client needs. Sessions longer than one session hour are typically discussed with the therapist in advance. Clients should not expect to extend their session time on the day of their appointment.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
Yes, our sliding scale ranges from $120-$200+ and is based on therapist caseload, client need, and session frequency. If you are in need of a sliding scale rate please check availability with the therapist during your initial consult call/email.
